Tutoring or academic coaching: choose by the work that is stuck
Choose subject tutoring when the main obstacle is understanding the course material. Choose academic strategy when you understand the task but cannot reliably plan, start, or complete it. When both are happening, start by identifying the obstacle that blocks the next piece of work.
Try one piece of the work before choosing support
Open a real practice question, assignment brief, or draft. Spend a few minutes attempting the next step. Write down the exact point where you stop. “I cannot explain why this method applies” suggests a different session from “I can solve this, but all my revision keeps landing on Sunday night.”
You do not need to diagnose yourself or arrive with a perfect explanation. A rough attempt often gives a tutor more useful context than a long account of feeling behind.
When a subject session makes sense
Subject tutoring addresses the material: explaining a concept, practising a method, or working through the structure of your own argument. Bring the relevant instructions, your attempt, and the point of confusion. Do not send private student records or account passwords.
StudySis offers a 50-minute Subject session for $49 USD at the current launch price. The service includes a live session and a next-step recap. Subject coverage and tutor fit are checked before an appointment is confirmed; submitting a request does not reserve a slot or take payment.
When a strategy reset makes sense
Academic strategy addresses how the work fits into the week: deadlines, task size, study blocks, competing commitments, and the next action. For example, if you understand the readings but cannot turn five assignment briefs into a workable schedule, planning support is the more direct starting point.
A StudySis Strategy reset lasts 60 minutes and costs $69 USD at the current launch price. Bring your deadlines and fixed commitments. The output is a seven-day study map you can use after the call.
When one session is too short a test
A system may look sensible during a call and fail once the week gets busy. If the problem is keeping a plan usable over time, recurring support gives you a chance to review what happened and change the plan.
The four-week StudySis Momentum sprint is $249 USD at the current launch price and includes four weekly sessions, system building, between-session check-ins, and a final handoff. A tailored term plan begins with a written scope and quote. Neither route guarantees grades or academic outcomes.
What all three routes leave in your hands
You write and submit your own assessed work. Support can help you understand a question, evaluate your plan, or review the clarity of your draft. It does not include assignment completion, fabricated sources, or taking a quiz on your behalf.
If you still cannot choose, the 15-minute fit call is free. Explain what you tried, where you stopped, and what you want to leave with. You can consider the recommendation without committing to paid support.
